It's something you can do over a weekend that can continue to make you money in your sleep. So often on the Internet we see "get rich quick" products. "Sit back and watch the money roll in"....or my favorite.... "All you have to do is cash the checks as they arrive in the mail!"....
Also, you may be given real estate leads from other Realtors that do not sell homes in the territory you work in. (It may be too far of a drive, not that Realtor's niche, etc.) Focus on the area you want to sell homes in. This way you will get to know the area and/or surrounding areas very well. You will come to know the styles of the homes and how to price the homes.
What exactly is viral marketing? It's marketing that runs itself. Like a cold, it gets passed on to the next person...who passes it on to the next person...who passes it on...and on...and on.... I love Viral Marketing because it's often free, and it allows you to literally sit back and watch the checks come pouring in (if you do it right!).
The main problem with employing this strategy is that this kind of popularity usually happens randomly. Luckily, there are several ways to recreate this atmosphere. People love to uncover the undiscovered. It is the reason that little hideaways are so popular. Knowing something that not everyone else has already heard about makes people feel like they have a secret.
Volunteer at the local humane society, the school PTA, church functions, etc. or anything you really believe in. It will show if you truly have an interest in your choice of community that is your selling niche. Sponsor events which will in turn get your name on signs at the event and possibly on T-shirts, brochures, etc. People will see that you care about the community and you are willing to invest your time and energy in it wholeheartedly.
The better you get at creating an eBook that delicately redirects the reader to your web site (and to your sales pitch) the better you will make out using viral marketing. And of course, you have to then have a web site that does a good job of selling your product for you... If you don't have an eBook on whatever it is you're selling...write one today! Just say to yourself that you will spend 1 hour each day writing for one week. Your eBook doesn't have to be long, or well written...look at me, I'm a terrible writer and yet I publish an ezine every week!
